MindTree announces Infrastructure Management and Technical Support Practice

Develops state-of-the-art Network Operating Center in Bangalore

MindTree Consulting, an international IT and R&D Services Company, today announced that it has launched an Infrastructure Management and Technical Support (IMTS) business. MindTree’s IMTS business undertakes the end-to-end responsibility of managing the IT infrastructure of global enterprises and provides private-labeled technical support for enterprise class technology products. The new practice has quickly ramped up to a team of over 100 people and serves fifteen customers around the world.

“Falling telecom costs, coupled with the fact that most of the managed platforms are Web enabled, provide a boost to this sector,” said Ram C Mohan, MindTree Consulting Vice President and Head of Infrastructure Management & Technical Support Services.

“Resources can be managed remotely, without having to download any data. Technology also addresses the key issue of security. Moreover, since the Indian IT prowess is proven, organizations globally are now comfortable in sharing critical application with Indian service providers.”

As part of the Infrastructure Management Services, MindTree will offer server and storage management, network management, database administration and management, performance management and IT helpdesk. MindTree will offer technical support for packaged applications and enterprise products, leveraging several years of experience in business application development and product realization services.

In order to support its customers, MindTree has set up a state-of-the art network operating center (NOC) that will help monitor, manage and operate enterprise infrastructure remotely.

MindTree’s 15 customers for the IMTS practice include a large U.S.-based online ticketing distribution company, hi-tech companies from the U.S. and Europe and several banks in Asia.
