India’s MindTree wins Software Deal from Volvo

Privately-held Indian software firm MindTree Consulting Pvt. Ltd. said on Friday it had won a multi-million dollar order from Swedish truckmaker AB Volvo’s information technology arm for software services.

Company officials refused to give financial details.

Bangalore-based MindTree will work with Volvo to develop a wide range of business software to maintain mainframe computers and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software which helps companies link up various aspects of their work to boost efficiency.

The services will be implemented within three years, MindTree officials said.
