MindTree to Display Next Generation Infotainment and Navigation System at Convergence 2006

MindTree Consulting, an international product realization services company, will showcase a hassle-free, multi-feature infotainment and navigation system at Convergence 2006 to be held at Detroit during October 16 and 17. The product, codenamed MINSA (MindTree Infotainment and Navigation System for Automotive), demonstrates the convergence of navigation and infotainment system (Audio and Video playback) into a single product.

Convergence 2006 will explore the powerful convergence of advanced electronics, propulsion, materials, and telematics.

Exhibition of expertise in hardware, software and competency in Automotive networking protocols. The solution based on Freescale platform and VxWorks RTOS communicates vehicle data such as health and position to the base station using CAN bus - J1939 protocol or using J1708 interface or OBD-II Interface.

MINSA

MindTree is building a hassle free multi feature product which provides real time navigation, in-car entertainment along with hands free car kit. The product is built on Freescale MobileGT platform and includes a touch screen, audio and video entertainment, supporting various formats, HFCK and Bluetooth functionality to communicate with external devices. This product will have a CAN interface through which it can collect diagnostic, safety and other parameters from various ECU and can integrate it on the display.

Verification and Validation of ECU

An example of automotive domain expertise exhibited through a point engagement. Verification and validation for the Body and Chassis ECUs which included writing plans and scripts for vehicle subsystems and developing manual and automated ECU test.

Development of Bluetooth enabled Hands Free Car Kit for a leading South Korean Automotive System Integrator
